THE NEWS

All of us were surprised when we heard the news about my cousin(the groom) finally winning the YES of Mitch last year. After the successful proposal, GP and Mitch planned to have their grand wedding at the Seventh-day Adventist church at ————–. The event was well-planned and prepared until COVID-19 came and ended it .

Yet love , breaking boundaries and finding ways, the two then resorted to a minimal wedding ceremony and this is where the story begins…

PREPARATIONS AND TRAVEL

NOTE: I don’t have any Idea on the ‘what abouts’ of the wedding plan so I’ll be narrating this merely on my point-of-view yet try to capture and put to words the highlights on that day so you can bask the wedding event in your homes or wherever you’re at.

Since my father was one of the chefs at the reception, the preparation was carefully thought of. Together with my mom and my other relatives, they headed there first.

The day after, My sister woke up at around 4 am and prepared our breakfast. After fueling ourselves, we cursorily did our personal rituals, put our face masks on, and when the clock struck 6:30, we hit the road. Fortunately, there was no traffic jam and the road was at its clearest, thus we arrived just after two hours.

As expected, we’re a little early for the wedding.

When I entered the three storey mansion, The first thing that greeted me was the mesmerizing grand staircase elegantly decorated with flowers and wedding ornaments. I then looked around and saw the busiest people of that day. With the pressure of time-keeping and scrupulous decorations, everyone were working their fastest yet carefully not leaving any single detail behind. There were hanging vines and flowers all over making the place look as if its a fairy palace. Overall, it was beautiful. Too beautiful that I lost words describing more of its feature.

The wedding hasn’t started yet, making me bored. So I took a quick stroll around the place. From afar, I can see my boarding school making me want to go there. Yet because of the pandemic, Students cannot enter without their Health certificate taken from their Municipalities. When I was done with my short trip, I head back and changed to my wedding attire. In just an hour, the place was already filled with guests and wedding participants all finely dressed and already catching up with their acquaintances whom they might have missed throughout the quarantine season.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

The program started with a song rendition from one of the singers. The wedding entourage walked down the staircase as the singer sang a sweet love song.

I saw then the groom standing nervously near the altar with mixed emotions and thoughts running in his mind. He looked dashing with his tuxedo and his crisp white suit. He smiled at me as I waved my hand at him from afar. When all the entourage was at their place, all of us buckled up and held our breath, as we all welcome the most anticipated person of the event.

All eyes was on her as she gracefully walk with ease on her elegant white gown and her stunning look. she was by no doubt, the most gorgeous woman that day. I saw the groom in tears as he held her hand and guided her to the altar. Truly, it was the most touching moment I saw.

When the exchange of vows and the signing of certificates was done, all of us were all ears as the minister finally declared GP and Mitch as husband and wife.

Their lifetime deal of happiness and love was then sealed with their purest and sweetest kiss.

Truly, there was pure bliss that day. Everyone was filled with love as they welcome the newly wedded couple: Mr. and Mrs. Aguilar.

Avast ye!

Since this event is of great significance to me personally, I made this as my first Life blog in this website.
